Privacy Policy

Resumere AI (“Resumere”, “we”, “us”) is operated by Aryavrut, a sole proprietorship registered in India (GSTIN 02NPJPS3639A1ZT), at Talai, Himachal Pradesh 174030, India. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why, and the choices and rights you have. Depending on how you use Resumere, we may process:

• Account data — your name, email address and password (stored only as a secure hash).
• Resume & career content — the resumes, cover letters, profile details, job descriptions and any files you create or upload while using the editor and AI tools.
• Payment data — we process payments through third-party gateways (such as Razorpay and PayPal). We do not store your full card or bank details; the gateway handles them under its own security standards.
• Usage & device data — log data, device and browser information, and how you interact with the product, used to run, secure and improve the service.
• Marketing-list email data — for our email campaigns, your email address plus, where available, first name, city, role/title and company, and email engagement (opens, clicks).

Most data comes directly from you when you create an account, build a document or contact us.

For our email marketing, your address may have appeared in a third-party job-seeker database of people actively seeking employment. In that case we send you a one-time permission request and only continue to email you if you give explicit consent by clicking the confirmation link. If you do not confirm, we suppress your address and do not contact you again.

• To provide the service: create and store your account, documents and requests, and deliver the AI and human-expert services you ask for.
• To process payments and maintain records (including for tax and accounting).
• To secure the platform, prevent fraud and abuse, and troubleshoot problems.
• To send you service communications about your account and requests.
• To send marketing and educational emails about resumes, ATS scoring and Resumere products — only after you opt in.

Under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, we process your data where it is necessary to provide a service you requested, where we have a legitimate need such as security and record-keeping, and, for marketing email, on the basis of your free, specific, informed and unambiguous consent, given by a clear affirmative action. We keep a record of your marketing consent (timestamp and source).

Some features send your resume and cover-letter content to third-party AI providers to generate, score and improve suggestions. That content is transmitted over encrypted connections and used only to deliver the feature you requested. It is not sold, and is not used to train third-party public models for unrelated purposes. All AI content is a draft for you to review — see our Terms of Service.

We do not sell your data and do not use it to build recruiter databases. We share it only with service providers who help us run Resumere, under contract and only for that purpose:

• Payment gateways (e.g. Razorpay, PayPal) to take payment.
• AI providers to power the AI features.
• Email, hosting and analytics providers to operate and secure the service.
• The assigned expert, where you purchase a human-delivered service (e.g. resume review, LinkedIn optimisation, Done-For-You applications), so they can complete your request.
• Authorities where we are legally required to disclose.

Some of our service providers (for AI, email and hosting) may process data on servers outside India. Where that happens, we share only what is needed to run the service and rely on contractual safeguards, consistent with the DPDP Act.

We keep account and document data while your account is active and for as long as needed to provide the service or to meet legal, tax and accounting obligations. You can delete your documents at any time from your account.

If you unsubscribe from marketing, we retain a minimal suppression record (your email plus an opt-out flag) solely to ensure we never email you again.

We use industry-standard measures including encryption in transit, access controls and secure hosting. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your data and to notify you and the authorities of a reportable breach as required by law.

Subject to the DPDP Act, you can at any time:

• Access the personal data we hold about you and ask how it is processed.
• Correct or complete inaccurate or incomplete data.
• Erase your data where it is no longer needed — request deletion at privacy@resumere.in.
• Withdraw consent / unsubscribe — one click in any marketing email footer. Withdrawal is as easy as giving consent and stops all marketing email.
• Nominate another person to exercise your rights in the event of death or incapacity.
• Grievance redressal — contact our Grievance Officer (below); we respond within 30 days.

Resumere is intended for users aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.

In line with the DPDP Act and the Information Technology Act, you can reach our Grievance Officer at privacy@resumere.in (mark your message “Grievance Officer”). We will acknowledge and respond within 30 days.

We may update this policy from time to time. We will change the “last updated” date below and, for material changes, take reasonable steps to let you know.
